We're delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager vacancy on behalf of a successful owner-managed business based in Lutterworth. This Finance Manager role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for the finance function.
Working as part of a small and creative team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business performance, providing financial insight and ensuring the smooth running of all financial operations. This position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys working autonomously, influencing business decisions and managing a varied workload across financial reporting, compliance and commercial finance activities.
£42,500 - £50,000 dependent upon experience
Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm(1 hour lunch)
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Office-based role in Lutterworth, Leicestershire

- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets and financial reports for senior management
- Manage all aspects of sales and purchase ledger activities, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, receipts, debtor reporting and credit control
- Complete bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and monitoring of financial transactions and multi-currency accounting
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, Companies House filings and support year-end accounting processes
- Administer withholding tax documentation, overseas tax compliance requirements and financial reporting obligations
- Monitor project budgets, purchase orders and contractual income arrangements, providing financial oversight and reporting where required
- Process employee expenses, and undertake other finance-related administrative responsibilities as required

Required skills and experience
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior finance position
- AAT qualified, ACCA or CIMA qualified or working towards a recognised finance qualification, although qualified by experience (QBE) candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
- Strong management accounts preparation, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience
- Excellent knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, financial controls and general accounting procedures
- Experience of working with international stakeholders and royalty reporting to stakeholders would be highly desirable
- Confident managing a broad finance workload independently and prioritising competing deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, high levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across the business and as part of a collaborative and creative team
