Kingsland School is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for our highly successful two site school based in Stanley and Castleford. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work on either or both sites because the post does involve some cross site working. The successful candidate will ideally start as soon as possible.
Following an outstanding Ofsted judgement in 2023 the school has further developed all aspects of provision for its pupils. The school caters for pupils from across the Wakefield District who have severe and profound learning disabilities. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will join an excellent team of skilled and motivated staff who are committed to pupil progress and individual achievement. Our children are at the heart of everything that we do.

This is a key role within the school and the successful candidate will have the relevant qualifications and/or experience of financial management within a busy working environment.
Key Duties Will Include
- taking a lead role in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of budgets and expenditure, attending regular meetings with the Council's finance/accountancy team
- preparing financial reports for the Headteacher and Governing Body
- providing advice to the Headteacher regarding appropriate levels of insurance
- overseeing the school's payment systems
- supporting colleagues within the Senior Administration Team to manage financial aspects of their roles.
