As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team and oversee the company’s finance function.
The Role
Reporting to the Owner and Operations Director, the Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing daily finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining financial controls, and supporting strategic business decisions.
This is an office-based role located in Canary Wharf, East London.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash, card, and bank reconciliations across all store locations
- Monitor company bank accounts, cash flow, and daily banking activities
- Manage supplier accounts, invoices, queries, discrepancies, and payments
- Support purchasing controls and cost management initiatives
- Prepare and review payroll information and submissions
- Process journals in Xero, including accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals
- Complete monthly reconciliations and support month-end close procedures
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Manage HMRC correspondence and statutory compliance requirements
- Support Companies House filings and corporation tax preparation
- Manage utilities, supplier contracts, leases, insurance, and business licences
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Provide finance support to store and management teams
- Monitor operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support product profitability and margin analysis

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounts Manager or Finance Manager
- Retail or FMCG finance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and support teams to maintain strong financial processes
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification preferred
- Right to work in the UK required
