Finance Manager

Finance Manager – Manufacturing | West Leeds

Position Summary

A growing manufacturing business in West Leeds is seeking a Finance Manager to lead month-end processes, enhance financial reporting, and provide strategic financial insights to the Senior Management Team. The role is ideal for candidates with expertise in manufacturing and a drive to grow with the business.


Compensation & Flexibility

  • Salary: £45,000–£55,000
  • Hours: Mon–Fri, 37.5 hrs
  • Location: Office-based with flexible start/finish times

The Role

  • Lead month-end processes, ensuring the delivery of accurate management accounts & KPI reporting
  • Own balance sheet control and implement strong financial governance practices
  • Partner with department heads to optimise cost management and performance analysis
  • Support budgeting & forecasting across P&L, cash flow, and working capital
  • Manage cash & debtor finance, including weekly reporting to senior leadership
  • Lead stock analysis, coordinate stock counts, and oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) & New Product Development (NPD) costing
  • Oversee audit & HMRC compliance duties
  • Develop and lead a small finance team
  • Support ERP/Business Central improvements and streamline financial processes

About You

  • Qualifications: CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Industry Expertise: Strong experience within manufacturing
  • Leadership: Confident working with Senior Management Team (SMT) and operational teams
  • People Management: Previous experience managing teams
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and financial data handling
  • Financial Tools: Familiarity with debtor financing (advantageous)
  • Technical Knowledge: Preference given to candidates with ERP/Business Central experience
