Finance Manager | East Lancashire (office-based) | £45-50k | Permanent
We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in the East Lancashire area as they look to appoint a commercially minded Finance Manager to join 3 other Finance Managers to oversee the management accounts of multiple sites across the UK.
The business is currently going through an implementation of Sage 200, therefore experience in this system is essential.
Role Overview
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a manufacturing company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves the individual working as part of a team, providing strategic financial guidance to the senior management team, monitoring company performance, and supporting cost control initiatives to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets.
- Coordinate external audits and manage the relationship with auditors.
- Analyse costs, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement cost control measures across operations, including inventory management, procurement, and production processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to performance and efficiency.
- Mentor the wider finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Benefits & Package
- Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (experience dependent)
- Study support options (if required)
- Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm | Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
- 33 days holiday inc. bank holidays
- 1 additional annual leave day each year after 12 months service, up to 38 days including bank holidays
- Annual pay review
- December bonus after 12 months service
- Option to enroll in healthcare scheme
