Finance Manager (Part time)

Part-Time | Flexible Hours

We're looking for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance administration of a growing business.

This is a flexible, part-time position suited to someone who enjoys working independently, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting a business through effective financial processes. You'll work closely with the leadership team and external accountants, taking responsibility for a broad range of finance and bookkeeping activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer invoicing and support the collection of outstanding payments
  • Process supplier invoices, expenses and company card transactions, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Prepare payment runs for review and approval
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and supporting schedules
  • Prepare month-end journals, including payroll, prepayments and deferred income
  • Support the production of monthly management information and financial reporting
  • Maintain organised and accurate financial records across finance systems
  • Liaise with external accountants and key stakeholders across the business
  • Review subscriptions, supplier costs and recurring expenditure to identify efficiencies
  • Provide general finance and administrative support as required

About You

  • Previous bookkeeping or finance experience, ideally within a small or growing business
  • Good understanding of VAT, journals, accruals, prepayments and core accounting principles
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a part-time workload
  • Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, or similar platforms
  • AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Confident communicator, able to work with colleagues, suppliers and external advisers
  • Experience within a SaaS, software or subscription-based business would be beneficial, but is not essential
