Finance Manager
LUXSCENTS UK — Coventry (Full-time, On-site)

ARMAF offers a collection of luxury premium fragrances known for their class, style, and couture appeal. LUXSCENTS UK focuses on bringing award-winning ranges, including the renowned "Club de Nuit" line, to customers across the UK. The company is committed to delivering high-quality, authentic products and building strong relationships with retail and wholesale partners. Role Description
The Finance Manager role at LUXSCENTS UK is a full-time, on-site position based in Coventry. As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping the company develop and manage its financial goals — overseeing day-to-day financial operations, reviewing financial information, preparing financial reports, and developing strategies to reduce financial risk.
You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and reconciling accounts. The role will require you to develop budgets and forecasts, track key financial metrics, and provide regular reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
You will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while supporting audits and liaising with external advisors as needed.
The role also involves optimising financial processes, supporting inventory and cost analysis, and collaborating with other departments to align financial plans with business objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Modelling
- Utilise advanced financial analyses and modelling techniques to simulate economic scenarios.
- Determine the present and future financial condition of the company.
- Research and report on factors influencing the company's performance.
- Analyse and predict market trends.
Strategic Financial Management
- Develop financial management strategies to reduce risk.
- Provide relevant recommendations to maximise profits.
- Assist Directors in decision-making.
- Monitor reporting systems and prepare accurate financial reports and statements.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations.
Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting
- Manage accounting processes, including income, costs, payroll, and investments.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve issues.
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayment schedules.
- Prepare monthly management accounts for various parts of the business.
- Manage VAT returns and reporting to HMRC.
- Conduct multiple bank reconciliations.
- Oversee payroll and general ledger duties, and maintain fixed asset registers.
- Develop budgets and forecasts, and track key financial metrics.
- Review cost-reduction strategies and develop long-term, strategic business plans.
- Organise new funding strategies.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Support audits and liaise with external advisors.
External Relationships
- Cultivate relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers, and other statutory organisations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial plans with business objectives.
- Present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyse data and provide clear recommendations.
- Experience in accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency with finance and accounting software, spreadsheets, and ERP or inventory systems used in distribution or retail environments; experience using Sage Cloud 50 Accounts is required.
- Knowledge of relevant UK accounting standards, tax regulations, compliance requirements, and internal control best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders and direct/delegate tasks to team members.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review, verify, and back up company data and performance, and to take action and seek solutions.
- Previous experience in a finance role within FMCG, retail, distribution, or a similar commercial environment is advantageous.
- Professional qualification or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification is a plus).
