Job Opportunity: Finance Manager

Equifind have partnered with a growing and successful renewable energy and infrastructure company who are seeking to hire a qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Accountant (Finance Manager) to report to a Financial Controller (5 years PQE). The company services a huge infrastructure fund in London Bridge, London. They are in the office 3 days a week and work autonomously and with trust from the senior management.

Job Description

The Finance Manager will play a critical client-facing role.

Stakeholder Management

  • First point of contact for all stakeholders in regard to financial information for each portfolio company, including shareholder, customers, and third-party debt providers.

Management Accounting

  • Oversight of sales and purchase ledgers for each SPV, including credit control and payment processing, as well as bank reconciliations
  • Maintenance of accruals, deferred income, and prepayments, including interest recognition on SPV borrowing
  • Preparation of management account reports including variance analysis
  • Supervising the preparation and submission of data to HMRC, including VAT and CIS returns

Financial Accounting

  • Preparation and submission of annual statutory accounts
  • Management of the audit process, ensuring accurate and sufficient information provided to auditor
  • Liaising with tax advisors in the preparation and submission of tax computations

Reporting

  • Presentation of finance reports to shareholders at quarterly Board Meetings
  • Tracking and complying with contractual obligations as dictated by various agreements, including Project, Facility, Shareholder, and other
  • Maintenance and updating of financial and operating models, preparation of annual budgets, and distribution forecasts
  • Other ad hoc projects and co-sec work.

Requirements

  • The new Finance Manager ideally will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • A minimum of NQ-3 years PQE experience, ideally in industry but candidates from within audit firms also will be considered
  • A confident client-facing outgoing and positive attitude is required
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail
