This is an excellent opportunity for any experienced accountants that are looking to take full ownership for an accounting function. You'll be working as the business's first finance hire, meaning you will be given the power to implement new controls and efficiencies to ensure best practice across the reporting cycle. You'll report into the company directors in a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
Client Details
Our client is a small property business with exciting plans to grow over the next 12-24 months. Being a family office, you'll be given access to work across the full business in a close-knit office environment.
Description
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Monitor cash flow and optimise financial performance.
- Manage the payroll process.
- Work closely with a team of external accountants.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Profile
- Strong experience working in a small company, SME environment.
- Previous experience working within property & real estate is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of key accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- The ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial challenges.
- Possess the ability to prioritise and organise workloads efficiently.
