Role Description
The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chelmsford, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making. The role includes:

- Managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Monitoring profitability and cost control across the business
- Preparing monthly and annual accounts
- Ensuring timely reconciliations
- Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

This position will also involve:
- Collaborating with department heads on financial planning
- Providing analysis on key performance indicators
- Supporting senior leadership with financial insights
- Supervising finance team members
- Improving financial processes and systems
- Liaising with external auditors and other financial partners
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparation of management accounts.
- Experience with financial analysis, KPI tracking, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Working knowledge of Sage200, processing systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a finance team, with effective leadership and delegation skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience in a finance leadership role.
- Experience in distribution, retail, or technology sectors is beneficial.
- Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement in financial processes.
