About The Role

This role sits within Finance Operations and partners closely with AI Infrastructure leadership, as well as infrastructure, engineering, and site operations teams. You’ll support financial planning, cost governance, and performance analysis across site deployment and operations, with ownership across areas such as site-level P&L tracking, capital investment monitoring, and fixed asset lifecycle management.
Site deployment is both capital intensive and operationally complex, making this a high-impact opportunity for someone who can bring strong analytical rigor to fast-moving decisions. Your work will improve visibility into cost drivers, asset utilization, and ROI, while helping the business make better decisions on deployment prioritization, capacity planning, and asset utilization.
What you'll be doing
Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across site deployment and operations. Maintain site-level financial statements, including P&L tracking and performance analysis. Develop deployment financial forecasts covering timelines, costs, and capacity ramp. Build financial models for site performance, capacity utilization, and operating cost trends. Analyze site spend, identifying key drivers and risks. Develop and maintain bill of materials costing for site deployments. Support site-level unit economics across deployment and operating costs. Identify cost efficiency opportunities across deployments, asset utilization, and maintenance activities. Partner with engineering and operations teams to understand cost drivers and performance trends. Contribute analysis to cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives. Build financial models and analysis to support site deployments, expansions, and capital investments. Support deployment budget management by tracking actuals versus plan and highlighting variances. Assist in evaluating trade-offs across deployment strategies and capacity allocation. Track performance against investment assumptions and provide visibility into ROI. Support capitalization, tracking, and lifecycle management of site-level assets. Partner with accounting to ensure accurate asset classification and financial reporting. Monitor asset utilization and support analysis that informs optimization and investment decisions. Track capital spend against budget and support forecasting of future capital needs. Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and site operations teams to support financial decision-making. Translate operational data into clear financial insights. Support planning and execution of site deployments and capacity utilization. Produce regular reporting on site-level financial performance, capital spend, and operating costs. Track core KPIs such as site utilization, cost per deployed unit, and operating cost per site. Support reporting on SLA performance, utilization metrics, and time-to-deployment. Support cost tracking, asset controls, and governance processes. Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data across systems and reports.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
