Finance Manager
Milton Keynes | Permanent | Full-Time
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading international organisation based in Milton Keynes for a Finance Manager to join their established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and team leadership within a growing and highly regarded business.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the delivery of accurate financial reporting, management accounts, compliance activities and transactional finance oversight across the UK business.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts, reports and financial information for group reporting purposes.
- Lead and support the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices and expenses are processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare and post general ledger journals and maintain accurate financial records.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
- Manage VAT reporting, MTD submissions and associated compliance activities.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Work closely with UK and international stakeholders to support business growth and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with process improvements and the ongoing development of financial procedures and controls.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar finance leadership role.
- Experience supervising or managing finance staff.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems.
- AAT qualification, degree, or be studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- High levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
