Location: Based at Link’s Edinburgh office (hybrid working available) Hours of Work: 35 per week (Monday to Friday) Salary: £30,132.00 to £38,293.00 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

The Role

As a Finance Officer, you will play a critical role in our Finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing purchase ledger entries
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Providing administrative and financial support for Scottish Government Shared Equity Schemes
  • Ensuring Shared Equity documentation is complete for grant payments
  • Posting transactions to the purchase ledger
  • Handling internet banking payments efficiently
  • Updating Shared Equity records on spreadsheets
  • Streamlining documentation through File Stream
  • Reconciling Shared Equity transactions and other financial processes as needed

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education: Equivalent of Standard Grade (or higher) in English and Maths
  • Experience:
    • Foremost understanding of purchase ledger management
    • Familiarity with financial systems software
    • Proven administrative support within finance or a related sector
    • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
    • Basic accounting experience with proficiency in:
      • Accuracy in posting transactions under pressure
      • Working within tight deadlines
      • Handling complex and sensitive transactions
  • IT Literacy:
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office systems (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Demonstrated high standard of IT skills for record-keeping and administrative tasks
