Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Crawley (Office-Based, 5 Days Per Week)

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are excited to be recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a growing team in Crawley. This varied role combines finance operations, general administration, and bookkeeping, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a dynamic organisation.

The ideal candidate will have experience with finance software, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to managing both financial and administrative tasks. An AAT qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Manage the purchase ledger, including coding and posting invoices, supplier reconciliations, and preparing payment runs.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts management.
  • Provide general administrative support, including document management, correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Support month-end processes and assist with preparing management accounts.
  • Use finance software to monitor accounts payable and receivable, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and ensure adherence to company policies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in payroll, purchase ledger, bookkeeping, and general administration.
  • Proficiency in finance software such as Sage, Xero, or similar systems is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle both finance and administrative tasks methodically.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
  • AAT qualification is preferred but not essential.
