At Campden BRI, our Finance team sits at the heart of the organisation, providing the financial expertise, systems and controls that support every area of the business. As we continue to evolve and invest in our finance capability, we are focused on delivering efficient processes, improved financial visibility and stronger business partnering across the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the team. With the rollout of a new finance system, the introduction of new debt facilities and a strong focus on working capital improvement, we're looking for a Finance Operations Manager to help shape a modern, scalable and high-performing finance operations function. We're based in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, GL55 6LD.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control and cash allocation activities across the business
  • Driving working capital improvements, reducing aged debt and improving cash collection performance
  • Managing treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting and debt facility administration
  • Supporting the implementation and optimisation of new finance systems and automated processes
  • Overseeing month-end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Managing and developing the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Receivable Manager, building capability and accountability within the team
  • Monitoring transactional finance KPIs, including billing accuracy, cash collection and debtor performance
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers and banking partners
  • Ensuring robust financial controls, compliance and accurate reporting across all finance operations
  • Supporting payroll-related financial processes, governance and documentation

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience in a transactional finance leadership role covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit control, billing, cash allocation and reconciliations
  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with relevant finance leadership experience
  • Proven success in improving working capital, cash collection or delivering measurable process improvements
  • Strong understanding of month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, debt accounting and financial controls
  • Experience managing Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes within a complex organisation
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating finance teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insight
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a commercial and customer-focused mindset
  • Experience working with finance systems, process improvements, automation or transformation projects
