As Finance Planning & Performance Manager you will help to shape financial planning processes, influence strategic decision-making, and contribute to the continued success of AIGL. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Board, while helping to drive improvements across reporting, forecasting and financial performance management.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead AIGL's budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, providing insightful analysis and performance reporting to senior management and the Board.
The role will have ownership of key financial planning processes, including quarterly variance analysis, Board reporting, cash flow forecasting and financial modelling. You'll also collaborate with teams across Finance and the wider business to ensure robust forecasting, support commercial decision-making and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of quarterly financial results, providing clear and insightful commentary on performance against budget, forecast and prior year.
- Produce monthly performance reports and quarterly Board packs, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate and meaningful financial information.
- Manage the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, supporting Board approval and AIGL's wider capital planning activities.
- Own the cash flow forecasting process, monitoring actual performance against expectations and identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
- Partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to challenge assumptions, improve forecasting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
- Support the review and approval of key finance journals, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and appropriately supported.
- Maintain and enhance financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis and business planning.
- Provide financial oversight and support for key projects, commercial arrangements and contracts.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting, planning processes, controls and data quality.
- Provide broader support to the Finance team and undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as required.

About You
We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality financial insight.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Significant experience in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Experience preparing Board-level reporting and communicating financial performance to senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting strategic planning and business performance initiatives
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within the insurance or wider financial services sector.
- Understanding of financial control environments and cash flow management.
- Experience supporting strategic planning and business performance initiatives.
