Finance Systems Project Coordinator Location: Croydon, UK


About the Role

The Finance Systems team is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, deployment, and training of Finance IT tools, including our ERP system. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of finance systems and transformation projects.

This full-time permanent role provides hands-on experience in project coordination and governance, working closely with Project Managers, Finance SMEs, and IT teams. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

Project Coordination & Governance

  • Support the planning and coordination of project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including:
    • Project plans
    • RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies)
    • Action logs
    • Status reports
  • Assist in preparing governance packs for stakeholder review.

Meeting & Stakeholder Support

  • Organise and chair project meetings, including agenda preparation and attendance recording.
  • Capture and distribute minutes and action items, tracking follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate clear, effective communication between teams and senior management.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, log, and track risks, issues, and dependencies in projects.
  • Escalate and support the resolution of critical risks/issues in collaboration with project leads.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide administrative support to the project team, including task management.
  • Maintain project workflows, ensuring continuous improvement in process integration.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in a relevant discipline, such as:
    • Business Management
    • Finance
    • IT
    • Project Management
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, with strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of IT/business processes, including funds accounting and ERP systems.
  • Hands-on experience in project coordination/PMO support, including governance tasks (e.g., RAID logs, reports).
  • Organisational prowess: ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including:
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Teams
    • SharePoint

Desirable Qualifications

  • Interest in digital transformation or finance systems consulting projects.
  • Experience with project financials, budgeting, or benefits tracking analysis.
  • Awareness of structured project methodologies, such as PRINCE2/APM.
