Job purpose: The Finance Project Lead supports the Finance Director across a wide range of strategic, operational, and project based activities. The role is designed for an ambitious finance professional who wants to make a meaningful impact on departmental operations and company strategy. You will work closely with the Finance Director, providing day-to-day support across a range of business and financial activities for the business of all companies under his oversight. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Main responsibilities: •Act as the first point of contact for the Finance Director; assisting with project coordination and tracking progress across initiatives. •Provide both verbal and written translation daily support, especially during management meetings; to ensure clear communication, accurate understanding of agendas, and effective interaction between stakeholders. •Perform data consolidation and financial analysis; to provide insights that support strategic decision-making and business performance. •Proactively identify and recommend process improvements across finance and operational areas; to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness. •Support the Finance teams with ad hoc activities as required; to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion of tasks across the departments. Education, Skills and Personal characteristics required: •Degree-educated with experience across a range of finance roles. Part-qualified (or actively studying towards) ACCA/CIMA is preferred. •Experience within a manufacturing and sales environment is advantageous, though not essential. •Exposure to both Chinese and UK business environments is desirable, but not essential.
