Everyone who works at Lidl brings something unique to the table - but we also have a whole lot in common. We’re curious, collaborative, and ready to make a tangible impact on where we work. Just like you.
We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Project Manager to join our dedicated project team. In this role, you will be the bridge between technology and finance, deeply embedding yourself within our Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Customs teams to understand their unique workflows and system dependencies.
Your immediate and primary focus will be supporting our migration from SAP FI to SAP S/4HANA under the guidance of the project lead. This role requires a good understanding of complex financial processes. Strong accounting knowledge and hands-on SAP experience are essential.
At Lidl, we offer a hybrid working model to give you the best of both worlds. Spend three days or more in our state-of-the-art office, where you can enjoy an on-site gym, restaurant, and more of the perks you deserve. And with up to two days at home, you’ll find the work/life balance you need to thrive.
‘To keep in line with company structure this role will be called Consultant internally’
What you'll do
- Spend time with our Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Customs teams to map out existing workflows, pain points, and cross-departmental dependencies.
- Translate complex business and regulatory needs especially surrounding Tax and Customs compliance into clear system requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and financial control structures are maintained or improved during system changes.
- Assist the project lead for the SAP FI to S/4HANA migration, tracking milestones, managing risks, and coordinating between technical teams and finance stakeholders.
- Assist in mapping legacy SAP FI structures to the new S/4HANA framework.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), data cleansing, and financial reconciliation activities during the cutover phases.
- Develop a deep understanding of how our current financial systems interact with wider business applications.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve reporting capabilities, and streamline month-end/year-end closing processes within the new S/4HANA environment.
- Act as a champion for the new system, helping finance and tax teams transition smoothly to S/4HANA.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions, documentation, and post-go-live support to ensure high user adoption.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
