Location: Flexible (Home-based with occasional travel to London for meetings/workshops) Contract: Inside IR35 Duration: Until 31st December 2026
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in finance change and reinsurance to join a high-profile integration programme within the insurance sector. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a complex, business-critical transformation, working alongside senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Legal, and Group functions.
About the Role
As Finance Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the delivery of a major reinsurance integration programme.
- Oversee key workstreams including:
- Treaty development
- Operational readiness
- Governance and regulatory approvals, including Part VII activity.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple business functions to ensure alignment with:
- Governance requirements
- Regulatory expectations
- Programme risks, dependencies, and Board-level reporting.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and stakeholder management skills within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale integration or transaction-related programmes (e.g., Part VII transfers, portfolio transfers, or business integrations).
- Demonstrate expertise in governance-heavy programmes, including Board and Committee reporting.
- Develop a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and control systems, collaborating closely with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Drive delivery of projects across multiple business areas, resolving complex interdependencies and ensuring critical milestones are met.
- Proactively identify and mitigate programme risks while maintaining stakeholder buy-in.
- Produce concise, Board-ready documentation and present findings clearly.

Requirements & Skills
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven track record delivering complex change programmes as a Project Manager or Change Lead within insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance and/or insurance finance, particularly within:
- Capital
- Liquidity
- IFRS-driven environments
- Experience managing large-scale integration or transactional programmes, including:
- Part VII transfers
- Portfolio transfers
- Business integrations
- Proven experience in governance-heavy programmes, including Board-level reporting.
- Ability to work effectively with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
