Trainee Investment Banking Headhunter - Finance Recruitment Consultant
London (City) | Executive Search | International Opportunity
A leading financial services executive search firm is looking to hire a high-potential Trainee Headhunter to join its Investment Banking practice.
This is a rare opportunity to enter one of the most lucrative and intellectually challenging areas of recruitment, with structured training and clear progression into a fully fledged headhunter role.
🎓 The Opportunity
You will work closely alongside an experienced consultant who will mentor and guide your development as you build toward becoming an established headhunter.
Training is taken seriously and delivered through:
- Structured group training programme
- One-to-one coaching
- Direct exposure to directors and senior consultants
- Ongoing support from the in-house training team

💼 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on retained and contingent search mandates
- Business develop and proactively win new client mandates
- Grow and develop key accounts through high-quality search delivery
- Initiate and run searches from Director level upwards within top investment banks and financial institutions
- Work on cross-border mandates in partnership with the LA office
- Source, profile, approach, and meet high-calibre banking candidates
- Maintain accurate internal records and share market intelligence with the team
- Produce detailed market maps and in-depth company analysis

- Degree educated or degree calibre (ideally from a top university)
- Bright, enthusiastic, and highly driven
- Excellent communicator with strong presence and gravitas

- Highly organised with an analytical approach to work
