Financial Specialist | High-Growth EV Startup | London – Hybrid up to £45k

Harmonic are excited to be partnering with a High-Growth EV Startup in their search for a Financial Specialist.

The Client:

With strong investment from global investors and strong traction across growing international markets the business is on track to grow rapidly. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and help shape and professionalise the finance function. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in dynamic, and fast-moving environments and is looking for continual progression with a progressive business.

The Role:

This is a broad role that involves working directly with the CFO on bookkeeping, payment runs, month-end support and working in a fast-growing environment. This role will encompass more than just finance and has scope to grow internally alongside the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transactions
  • Preparing and managing weekly payment runs
  • Supporting month-end close and assisting with management accounts preparation
  • Assisting with payroll processes and VAT returns
  • Supporting cash flow management and financial reporting
  • Working closely with the CFO on finance process improvements and operational projects
  • Providing ad hoc support across legal, HR, procurement, and wider business operations

What we need to see (essential):

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong bookkeeping experience with exposure to management accounts processes
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leadership in a scaling business

Nice to have (bonus skills):

  • Experience within automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or a similar operational business preferred
  • Experience with high-growth businesses or VC-backed environment
  • Experience with systems changes (ideally Netsuite, SAP)
  • Ideally AAT/IAB/ICB Qualified

Location: South London (4 days in office, will transition to more WFH in the future)

Start Date: ASAP (max 1 months’ notice)

Salary: £40k - £45k
