The Finance Systems Team
The Finance Systems team is responsible for functionally supporting the multiple systems used by Arup Finance globally and delivering a strategic change program to enhance system capabilities aligned with the Global Finance Vision.
The Opportunity
Finance Systems Accounting Analyst (2 Year Fixed Term Contract, Hybrid Working in London)
The role is pivotal in supporting the Group Head of Finance Systems, ensuring that the diverse user base maximises the potential of our systems. Your responsibilities include delivering functional support, implementing effective governance, and maintaining modern controls in a streamlined, efficient manner.
Key Focus Areas
You’ll work across key financial platforms including:
- ERP (JDE)
- Concur
- Infor Timesheets
- Jaggaer
- TIS
- FIS treasury systems
- Payroll solutions
- Internal finance tools
Your role will involve specialising in a subset while contributing to the broader finance ecosystem.

Ideally, you are a collaborative and analytical individual with a strong desire to deepen your understanding of finance systems and how they support business operations.
Required Attributes & Experience
- Solid working knowledge of finance systems and processes
- Work experience in a finance environment, understanding financial reporting, system interactions, and organisational demands
- An ability to operate in complex, international settings
- Exploratory and problem-solving skills with focus on translating data into actionable insights
- Strong governance, attention to detail, and ability to juggle priorities efficiently
- Collaborative leadership and strong judgement skills to train, communicate, and foster trusted workplace relationships

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with system administration or active pursuit of an accounting qualification
Responsibilities
Functional Support
✅ Respond to user queries and troubleshoot system issues ✅ Collaborate on new developments and lead/support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities ✅ Design solutions aligning user requirements with strategic goals ✅ Deliver user training and contribute to process refinement
Governance & Control
✅ Maintain documentation and change control across systems ✅ Assess regulatory impacts on financial systems and ensure compliance ✅ Manage access controls and ensure data integrity ✅ Define and maintain data structures and hierarchies
General Contributions
✅ Triage and prioritise incoming user requests efficiently ✅ Build strong cross-functional relationships and manage stakeholder expectations ✅ Utilise reporting tools to communicate progress and tackle challenges consistently ✅ Provide support for wider initiatives under the Group Head of Finance Systems
