We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, collaborative, and commercially-minded qualified accountant to lead the implementation of a new finance system that will support the next phase of Our Future Health's growth. This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 18 months.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how Finance operates in one of the UK's most ambitious health research programmes. You'll lead the selection, implementation, and optimisation of our new finance system, working across Finance, IT, People & Culture, Business Development, and external partners to ensure the new system supports efficient, scalable, and well-controlled financial operations.

If you enjoy improving processes, bringing people together around change, and making systems work better for organisations, we'd love to hear from you.

Despite big improvements in healthcare in our lifetimes, today millions of people in the UK still live in poor health as they get older. Diseases like cancer, dementia, diabetes, and heart disease affect the lives of many people in our communities. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research, improving our understanding of how and why common diseases develop so that treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.

Our Future Health is the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

What you'll be doing

As the Systems Implementation Accountant, you'll play a key role in delivering one of the organisation's most significant transformation programmes. Working closely with colleagues across multiple functions, you'll help ensure our new finance system delivers improved reporting, stronger controls, and more efficient ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the finance workstream for the implementation of a new finance system from selection through to successful go-live.
  • Working collaboratively with Finance, IT, People & Culture, Business Development, and external implementation partners throughout the project.
  • Gathering and translating business requirements into functional system requirements.
  • Supporting system selection, procurement activities, and implementation partner appointments.
  • Presenting recommendations, risks, and progress updates to senior leaders and project governance groups.
  • Overseeing data cleansing, mapping, and migration to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Supporting configuration reviews, user acceptance testing, and go-live activities.
  • Helping design efficient finance processes, workflows, and internal controls within the new system.
  • Improving financial reporting capabilities and identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
  • Working across the organisation to support integration between the finance system and other business systems, including HR and CRM platforms.
  • Leading finance readiness activities, delivering training, and supporting colleagues through the transition to new ways of working.
  • Producing user documentation and supporting ongoing system adoption.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
