Finance Systems Manager
Location: London - hybrid 50%
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 35 hours
Purpose of the role
The Finance Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Group's finance systems. The role oversees system governance, controls, and change management processes, ensuring they meet evolving business needs. Working across platforms including Oracle E-Business Suite, FIS Quantum, and Bottomline, the role supports the accurate and timely delivery of financial information, improves operational efficiency, and contributes to projects that enhance finance systems and processes, aligned with the organisation's technology strategy and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Finance systems are secure, available, and fit for purpose, supporting financial transactions, accounting, reporting, and business operations.
- Lead and prioritise team resources to balance business-as-usual support, system maintenance, and project delivery.
- Act as Product Owner for the EBS and Treasury Management System (TMS) workstreams within the PIP programme.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to identify and implement effective system solutions.
- Lead Finance Systems input into change and transformation projects, ensuring appropriate testing, user acceptance, and successful implementation.
- Evaluate and prioritise change requests, balancing business value, risk, controls, cost-effectiveness, and operational impact.
- Serve as the primary Finance contact for systems-related matters, including payments, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, reporting, and management information.
- Manage relationships with internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure effective service delivery and support.
- Maintain a robust control environment across Finance systems, including user access, data management, compliance, and risk controls.
- Monitor, assess, and report system risks, while promoting continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and user capability across the Finance function.

Examples of Key Activities
- Support the delivery of Finance-related change initiatives and system enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise the use of system functionality.
- Manage and report risks, issues, incidents, and business continuity activities.
- Ensure system changes are implemented in line with agreed governance, support, and change management processes.
- Oversee testing activities, defect resolution, and implementation readiness.
- Monitor supplier performance and act as a key contact for external vendors.
- Maintain risk and issue records, including monthly reporting and attestations.
- Produce and distribute management information, KPI reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Represent Finance Systems on governance forums, including Change Approval Boards and IT-led initiatives.
- Support team development through coaching, training, resource planning, and the promotion of continuous improvement and organisational values.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience managing and supporting enterprise Finance systems.
- Strong knowledge of core Finance processes, including GL, AP, AR, Treasury, Payments, Cash Management, and Reporting.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12, FIS Quantum (or equivalent Treasury Management Systems), and payment platforms.
- Knowledge of Finance systems controls, governance, audit, risk management, GDPR, and data security.
- Experience delivering systems change, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and support.
- Ability to balance operational support with project delivery and changing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Finance, IT, and third-party suppliers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Experience managing vendor and supplier relationships.
- Degree, professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
