Finance Systems Support Analyst

Role: Finance Systems Support Analyst
Hybrid working: a minimum of 2 days per week in the office
The Department/Team

The Finance Systems Operations team operates across the UK and Kansas City and provides support for the finance systems used by the Global Business.
The Role
As a critical part of our firm, you’ll collaborate with supportive and talented colleagues to successfully deliver our services and help us to continuously improve. You’ll apply your ambition and self-starting attitude to deliver exceptional outcomes that make a lasting impact on the firm. The Finance System Support Analyst will report into the Finance System Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing query resolution across the firms finance systems. This includes, ensuring that the integrity of the data within the system is maintained and that all required security levels are adhered to. This role will require a high level of attention to detail to ensure all information input into the system is correct. The team additionally support month end close and balancing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with all support queries in relation to finance systems for users globally – these can be received via telephone, email, and face to face
- Responsible for all users set ups within the firm along with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Proactively liaising with all colleagues to ensure that service queries are resolved effectively and efficiently
- Ensuring finance systems provide accurate and timely information
- Ensuring data quality, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to audit requirements
- Monitoring system performance and identifying issues, trends, or recurring problems and escalating where necessary
- Participate in projects relative to finance systems along with supporting system upgrades
- Ensuring month end close as well as year-end close are actioned in a timely manner
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent organizational skills across a varied workload, ability to prioritize tasks to meet agreed deadlines
- Skilled at delivering work to a high level of detail
- Professional manner in both verbal and written communication
- Self-motivated, pro – active and able to use own initiative
- Flexible approach with willingness to accept a range of varying responsibilities
- Willing and able to work well under pressure, particularly at certain times of the month/year
- Positive attitude
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced excel skills
- MS office skills
- Legal or professional services background
- Knowledge of finance processes
- Elite 3E experience desirable
