At PwC, our finance consulting specialists provide tailored consulting services to help clients optimise financial performance, enhance decision-making, and achieve strategic financial goals through financial modelling, strategy development, and solutions engineering.
As a finance consulting generalist, you’ll work closely with clients to provide comprehensive financial guidance, analysing needs, developing strategies, and delivering bespoke financial solutions aligned with business objectives.
About the Role
Finance Transformation is a core capability within PwC Consulting, helping organisations reimagine their finance functions through technological innovation, operational redesign, and digital maturity. We partner with cross-industry clients to:
- Define finance strategy
- Design future operating models
- Modernise finance processes and technology
- Unlock value through data, analytics, automation, and AI
We are seeking a Finance Transformation Manager with business transformation experience and a strong understanding of how technology can transform finance and drive value. You will:
- Lead key workstreams in large-scale finance transformation programmes
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes
- Combine strategy design, operating model innovation, and technology-enabled delivery to achieve transformational change.
What Your Day-to-Day Could Look Like
Strategy & Operating Model Design
- Lead the development of a finance function’s long-term vision and strategy
- Assess the current operating model and design target operating models (TOMs)—covering structures, governance, service delivery, and capabilities
- Translate strategic insights into transformational roadmaps and execution plans
Business Architecture
- Develop and refine modern finance business architectures, ensuring alignment across:
- Processes
- Data and technology
- Controls
- Innovative trends (e.g., AI, cloud platforms)
- Clarify the role of emerging technologies in finance transformation

Process Diagnostics & Transformation
- Conduct root-cause analysis of inefficiencies in current-state finance operations
- Redesign processes with a focus on best practices, compliance, and digital opportunities
- Align future-state processes to business agility and compliance frameworks
Technology Enablement & Digital Transformation
- Partner with clients to lead the development of modernised finance architectures, including:
- ERP / EPM system deployment (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, or Workday)
- Automation, AI, and advanced analytics integration
- Data-driven decision-making optimisation
- Deliver technology roadmaps in collaboration with systems implementation teams
Business Case & Value Realisation

Develop and advocate for finance transformation business cases

Lead deliverables focused on:
- Operational cost optimisation
- Risk mitigation
- Investment assessment
- Sustainable benefits realisation
Stakeholder & Global Coordination
- Lead workstreams and ensure adherence to timelines, quality, and risk standards
- Strengthen partnerships with cross-functional and global teams
- Engage effectively in virtual and hybrid working environments
- Drive client adoption of new finance models through change management initiatives
Capability Building
- Contribute to internal finance architecture repositories and thought leadership (e.g., process playbooks, technology 빠른 기술);
- Share insights on emerging trends in finance transformation and sector innovations
This Role Is for You If You...
You’ll bring the following skills and experience to excite us:
Essential Experience
- Significant experience in:
- Finance transformation programs
- Finance process design & re-engineering
- Operating model and business architecture practice
- Hands-on experience with core finance processes, such as:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Authentic transformation experience (e.g., redeploying resources, modernising workflows)
- Combined business analysis and architecture capabilities, including:
- Process mapping, modelling, and systems requirements definition
- Documenting and optimising processes using tools like:
- Aris, Celonis, Signavio
- Technical familiarity:
- Core ERP/EPM systems: SAP, Oracle, Workday
- AI/machine learning, automation tools, and analytics (Python, RPA)
- Data visualisation: Power BI, Tableau
- Ability to operate independently on large global engagements, spanning multiple time zones and cultures
- Practical knowledge of Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall project delivery methodologies
- Strong change management expertise to support user adoption and business readiness
