Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our Finance Consulting team specialises in providing consulting services related to financial management and strategy. As a Finance Transformation Senior Associate, you will work across various finance domains, delivering comprehensive support to clients in optimising their financial functions. You will be responsible for analysing client needs, designing efficient processes, and implementing scalable digital transformation solutions.
About the Role
Finance Transformation is central to PwC’s Consulting capabilities, enabling clients to transform their finance functions through technology, operating model enhancements, and innovation. This role requires direct experience in large-scale finance transformation initiatives and a strong belief in technology as a catalyst for business change.
In this critical, hands-on position, you will assist in designing and executing finance transformation programmes, collaborating with clients to deliver impactful structure and technology-fueled change.

What Your Day Will Look Like
Strategy & Operating Model Design
- Support the finance vision and strategy development.
- Evaluate the current operating model and contribute to designing Target Operating Models (TOMs).
- Align restructuring efforts with organisational objectives.
- Translate strategy into transformation roadmaps and implementation plans.
Business Architecture
- Design modern finance architectures ensuring cross-process alignment.
- Assess and apply emerging technology trends (e.g., AI, analytics).
- Support controls and compliance integration.

Process Diagnostics & Transformation
- Analyze current-state finance processes.
- Identify key bottlenecks and design future-state processes that comply with regulations.
- Leverage digital tools and practices to enhance efficiency.
Technology Enablement (Digital Core)
- Collaborate on creating integrated finance technology strategies.
- Work with clients on designing and deploying ERP/EPM solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, Workday).
- Implement automation, analytics, and AI to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Business Case & Value Realisation
- Develop business case justifications for transformation initiatives.
- Monitor return on investment by evaluating impact on costs, risk, and performance.
Stakeholder Management
- Advise commercial workflows, delivering high-quality outputs aligned with risk buffers.
- Build and maintain trust with clients and cross-functional teams in both virtual and hybrid environments.
Global Delivery & Collaboration
- Work seamlessly with globally distributed teams across time zones and cultures.
- Perform tasks autonomously while supporting broader initiatives.
Capability Development & Knowledge Sharing
- Contribute to internal marketing and consulting best practices.
- Share insights on emerging trends in finance transformation and generate thought leadership.
What You’ll Deliver
Key Responsibilities
- Apply strategic planning and technology knowledge to drive impactful change across client finance functions.
- Support the implementation of scalable, future-proofed transformation solutions.
- Improve decision-making through data-driven insights and automation.
Key Requirements
- Prior experience in management consulting, finance transformation, business analysis, or finance architecture.
- Knowledge of core finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A) within a transformation context.
- Expertise in analysis and mapping (e.g., process design, systems assessment).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across virtual teams.
- Familiarity with ERP/EPM platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and emerging tech (AI, automation).
- Demonstrated ability to work globally and autonomously, deploying insights and client deliverables.
- Skills in data visualisation (Power BI/Alteryx) and modelling/automation (Python, RPA).
- Experience with process mining tools (Aris, Celonis, Signavio).
- Awareness of Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
