Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in finance consulting specialise in providing consulting services related to financial management and strategy. These individuals analyse client needs, develop financial solutions, and offer guidance and support to help clients optimise their financial performance, improve decision-making, and achieve their financial goals.

As a finance consulting generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of finance consulting. Your work will involve providing comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimising their financial performance, improving decision-making, and achieving their financial goals. You will be responsible for analysing client needs, developing financial solutions, and offering recommendations tailored to specific business requirements.

About the role

Finance Transformation is a core part of PwC’s Consulting capability, supporting clients to reimagine their finance function (effectiveness, efficiency, insight) through modern technology platforms, operating model transformation, and digital innovation. We work with organisations across industries to define finance strategy, design future operating models, modernise finance processes and technology, and unlock value through data, analytics, automation and AI.

We are seeking a Finance Transformation Senior Associate with previous transformation experience and who sees technology as a key enabler of business change. In this role, you support the design and delivery of large-scale finance transformation programmes, working with client stakeholders to drive sustainable business outcomes. Combining strategy, operating model design, and technology-enabled delivery to drive meaningful client outcomes.

If you are looking for a role where you can contribute to transformation programmes, develop your consulting skills, and make a tangible impact on how organisations operate, then we want to hear from you.

What your days will look like:

  • Strategy & Operating Model Design: Support the development of finance vision and strategy, assess the effectiveness of the current operating model, and contribute to the design of the target operating models (TOMs) aligned to business objectives, covering organisational structure, governance, service delivery, and capabilities. Support the translation of strategy into clear transformation roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Business Architecture: Contribute to the development of modern business architectures for finance, ensuring alignment across processes, data, technology, processes, and controls, and supporting the assessment of future technology trends and innovation.
  • Process Diagnostics & Transformation: Support the assessment of current-state finance processes, identify pain points, and contribute to the design of future-state processes aligned to leading practices, compliance requirements, and digital opportunities.
  • Technology Enablement (Digital Core): Work with clients to support the development of modern finance architectures, moving into implementation of such architectures, e.g. contributing to ERP / EPM design and deployment (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, Workday), and assist in integrating automation, analytics, and AI to improve process effectiveness and data-driven decision-making.
  • Business Case & Value Realisation: Work with clients to support the development of the business case for change and the realisation of benefits, including analysing changes on the operating model to operating costs, risk, and investment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support the delivery of workstreams, ensuring alignment with milestones, quality standards, and risk controls. Maintain strong working relationships with global stakeholders in virtual and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Global Delivery & Collaboration: Work effectively within a global team structure, collaborating across time zones and cultures, with the ability to deliver autonomously.
  • Capability Development & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal capability building, tool development, and thought leadership on emerging trends in finance transformation and sector innovation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
