Summary
We're looking for an experienced Finance Transformation Manager - Procure to Pay to help shape the future of Finance at M&S as part of our SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance professional with deep P2P expertise to play a pivotal role in designing future-state processes, strengthening financial controls and driving business-wide transformation.
Working across Finance, Procurement, Logistics and Technology teams, you'll lead the Finance perspective on Procure to Pay processes, ensuring solutions deliver robust governance, operational efficiency and accurate financial reporting. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing senior stakeholders and making a lasting impact through large-scale change.
Post the 3 year programme there will be further projects, as M&S continues to transform and drive change. There will be a variety of options including the Master Data team, the Continuous Improvement team as well as the roles in the Technology teams supporting Finance
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.
What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead the Finance design of end-to-end Procure to Pay processes, covering purchasing, goods receipt, invoice processing, approvals, payments and period-end close. Post design, support testing, cutover, go-live and stabilisation activities, ensuring sustainable controls and processes are embedded for long-term success.
- Shape Finance requirements and controls to ensure robust auditability, compliance, accurate accruals and effective management of liabilities.
- Act as the Finance lead for OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), driving efficient invoice processing, workflow design and operational controls.
- Partner with Procurement, Logistics, Technology and Finance stakeholders to ensure seamless process integration, effective data migration and successful delivery of transformation outcomes.
- Post the programme there will be further projects, as M&S continues to transform and drive change. There are a variety of options including the Purchase to Pay team, the Continuous Improvement team as well as the roles it the Technology teams supporting Finance.

Who You Are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong SAP Finance experience with a deep understanding of Procure to Pay, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Accounts Payable, GR/IR, payments and month-end close processes.
- Experience leading Finance process design within large-scale transformation, ERP or SAP programmes.
- Strong understanding of Finance controls, governance, risk management and audit requirements.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge constructively and translate Finance requirements into practical business solutions.
