About the Role
At RSM, our consulting team combines diverse advisory experts to offer six core solutions: business transformation, forensic, deal services, restructuring, finance function support, and risk and governance. Our team delivers solutions tailored to address our clients’ unique needs and challenges, helping them achieve their goals in areas like:
- Global expansion
- Acquisition strategies
- Private equity investments
- Risk and governance management with boards
We prioritise data-driven insights, high-quality execution, and simplicity to empower clients in building sustainable, future-fit businesses.
Currently, we are growing our team, embracing digital-first approaches, and building deeper client relationships. One of our key practice areas is the Business Transformation team, which focuses on operational improvements across strategy, technology, finance, innovation, and people.
Finance Transformation Opportunity
The Finance Transformation team—which operates within our Business Transformation Consulting practice—is seeking an experienced professional to join our growing team.

Over recent years, traditional back-office functions like Finance have evolved significantly in both what they deliver and how they operate. CFOs now face increased complexity and a constantly changing business environment, demanding they:

As a result, Finance teams must become more agile, streamlined, and efficient to deliver accurate, reliable, insightful financial information. However, many CFOs struggle to keep up with these changes.
At RSM, we partner with CFOs to design and implement future-ready finance operating models. We:
- Understand our clients’ businesses, visions, and needs
- Assess and deploy pragmatic solutions to elevate finance teams
- Strengthen effectiveness and enable them to serve their businesses better
- Modernise finance digital footprints
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing trust and credibility with clients quickly while building effective working relationships
- Serving as a problem solver, creative thinker, and self-starter, handling multiple priorities
- Working closely in teams to deliver value-driven transformation projects
- Contributing to client proposals and presentations, and acting as a trusted advisor when identifying and solving business challenges
- Managing engagements that prioritise organisational growth and adaptability
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT) (desirable but not essential)
- Solid PQE experience with an established portfolio of work, ideally in professional services
- A strong academic background with a relevant or business-focused degree (e.g., finance, accounting, business management, or data analytics)
- Proven knowledge of finance processes across:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Ability to use good-practice principles to identify process gaps, analyse their impact, and work with senior team members to propose solutions
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams, managing stakeholders, and driving change in complex environments
- Demonstrated experience with project management, delivering transformation initiatives on time and within budget
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong client relationships management skills
- The ability to collaborate in both virtual teams and independently
- A proactive, organised, and self-motivated approach

- High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint
