Financial Account Manager – Construction, CIS, VAT Oldham – £30,000pa – £35,000pa
We are partnered with a construction client in Oldham to recruit an experienced Finance Professional to support their finance team. This critical role will oversee daily financial operations, manage supplier/subcontractor relationships, process financial transactions, and ensure compliance with CIS, VAT, and payroll regulations.
This is a site-based role (Monday–Friday) within a supportive and collaborative team. Ongoing career development and progression are key priorities. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and work closely with the Office Manager, Purchasing Manager, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Resolving purchase invoice queries
- Processing contract purchase invoices
- Reconciling staff expense claims
- Processing monthly payroll and payments
- Submitting CIS returns
- Handling pension returns and VAT returns
- Updating weekly cashflow forecasts
- Managing and scheduling creditor payments

Requirements
- Strong expertise in Accounts Payable, CIS, VAT, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Hands-on experience with Xero or comparable financial software
- Excellent ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Manager, Finance Officer, or Accounts Assistant environments
