Financial Accountant
Location: North Birmingham
Salary: up to £40,000 + Benefits
Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a large international organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into its growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified accountant looking to build their technical accounting experience within a complex multi-entity environment. You’ll gain exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, controls, and process improvement while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the month-end close process
- Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Maintaining fixed asset accounting and intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits
- Assisting with VAT and wider compliance requirements
- Improving financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy
- Supporting finance transformation and systems improvement projects

About You
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified and actively studying
- Experience within Financial Accounting, Audit, Reporting, or Record-to-Report
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
