We're partnering with a successful global business to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join their collaborative finance team on an initial 12-week contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded employer during a key period, providing vital support across financial reporting, compliance, month-end activities and year-end preparations. The role offers hybrid working, an excellent working environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a busy Group Finance function.

The Role

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of key financial accounting activities while supporting the wider finance team through month-end, year-end and audit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and statutory reporting requirements
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Produce accurate financial reports and management information
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
  • Maintain strong financial controls and accounting compliance
  • Identify and implement finance process improvements
  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting and support across the finance team as required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
