The Role We are looking for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The role will focus on delivering accurate financial reporting, balance sheet control, and supporting the month-end close process across key accounting areas including accruals, prepayments, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
The successful candidate will also support reporting activities within EPM/FCCS systems and contribute to maintaining strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review weekly wages and salary accounting entries
- Manage IT accruals and prepayments, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Account for rent concessions and related lease adjustments
- Prepare overhead (O/H) accruals and prepayments
- Review and reconcile GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) balances and open purchase orders
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Upload and validate financial data within EPM and FCCS reporting systems
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to resolve accounting issues

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Strong financial accounting and month-end close experience
- Experience preparing accruals and prepayments
- Understanding of payroll and salary accounting processes
- Experience managing reconciliations and investigating variances
- Exposure to EPM and FCCS reporting systems preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using ERP and financial reporting systems such as Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with EPM/FCCS reporting and consolidation processes
- Proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
