Financial Accountant
Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

About the Company
We are supporting a fast-growing renewable energy business that is transforming the energy landscape through battery storage and infrastructure investment. Operating across multiple European markets, the company manages the full lifecycle of its assets from development and construction through to trading, optimisation, and operations.
With significant growth ambitions and a complex portfolio structure, the organisation offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Financial Accountant looking to develop their technical accounting expertise within a high-growth, asset-intensive environment.
The Opportunity
As Financial Accountant, you will join a collaborative and highly capable finance team, taking ownership of a broad range of financial reporting, statutory accounting, and technical accounting activities across a large portfolio of entities.
This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified accountant seeking their first move from practice, or an individual with existing industry experience who enjoys complex accounting challenges and working within a dynamic, fast-evolving business.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts across multiple legal entities.
- Support the delivery of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Assist with the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK accounting standards.
- Account for acquisitions, corporate restructuring activities, and financing transactions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and support accounting for infrastructure and energy assets.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls are in place.
- Support technical accounting assessments and implementation of new accounting policies.
- Work closely with FP&A, treasury, legal, and operational teams to support business growth.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives as the business continues to scale.
About You
Essential Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Trained within a leading accounting practice or relevant industry environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge across a broad range of standards.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, asset management, real estate, utilities, or other capital-intensive industries.
- Exposure to acquisitions, group structures, and complex financial transactions.
- Understanding of fixed assets, PP&E accounting, and project-based businesses.
- Experience managing multiple legal entities.
- International accounting exposure would be advantageous.
