Leeds | £45,000 – £55,000 + bonus and benefits | Hybrid working

Are you an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant considering your first move from practice into industry? Perhaps you've enjoyed the technical side of audit and accounts preparation but want to move closer to the commercial decisions, systems and stakeholders that drive a business forward.

We're working with a Leeds-based business undergoing significant growth and transformation, looking to appoint a Financial Accountant into its expanding finance team.

You'll play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, strengthening controls and supporting the wider business through a period of change. The role offers exposure to both statutory and management reporting, alongside opportunities to improve processes and influence how finance operates.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to make a long-term move into industry within a supportive environment that values development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
