Financial Accountant

Location: Solihull, Hybrid Working Available

Salary: £45 - 47K+ Benefits

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious Financial Accountant to join a well-established organisation during a period of continued growth and development.

This role offers the chance to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, month-end activities, business partnering and ongoing finance improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the business, helping to ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting key strategic and operational decisions.

This position would suit a part-qualified accountant looking to continue developing their technical accounting expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial records remain accurate and complete.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and support compliance across key accounting processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and wider reporting requirements.
  • Manage accounting processes relating to business assets and capital expenditure.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities.
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and analysis.
  • Assist with external audit requirements and the preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
  • Support a variety of finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We are looking for an individual who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Good understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset.
