Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Financial Accountant to support the finance function of a growing international distribution group with multiple European subsidiaries. The role will support monthly management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, multi-entity VAT compliance, inventory accounting, and group consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
- Post accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and reconcile European VAT returns and Intrastat reports.
- Reconcile inventory between CIN7, Xero, and stock valuation.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and support consolidation adjustments.
- Support system improvements and financial process controls.

Key Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Multi-entity experience in distribution, stockholding, or product-based businesses.
- Current working experience of VAT principles in UK & Europe.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Working experience of Xero.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
