Michael Page are delighted to be partnered with one of their longest-standing clients - a global organisation with beautiful offices in the heart of Manchester City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a thriving organisation and be exposed to great progression opportunities. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting the Accounting & Finance department with key projects.

Client Details

Our client boast an incredible working culture - many employees having been there over 10 years and longer. They have a global reach and fantastic name within their field. Due to continued growth they're looking for a Financial Accountant to join their award winning finance team.

Description

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with relevant standards.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Assist in audits by providing required documentation and responding to queries.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.

Profile

A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have

  • A recognised qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g., ACCA/ACA).
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within a similar industry.
  • Previous experience working with IFRS, US GAAP etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
