About Us
At GreenSquareAccord, we're committed to providing great homes and services that make a positive difference to people's lives. Behind every successful service is a strong finance team, and we're looking for a Financial Accountant to help us deliver accurate reporting, robust financial control, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part or newly qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, collaborative finance team.

About the Role

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
We're looking for someone who already has a solid grounding in finance and is keen to continue developing their career. You'll ideally have:
- At least three years experience working within a finance or financial accounting environment.
- Experience supporting or completing month-end processes and financial reporting.
- Be studying towards an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (or newly qualified).
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The confidence to build relationships with colleagues across the business and explain financial information clearly.
- Experience within the housing sector would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. We're equally interested in candidates from other sectors who have strong financial accounting experience and are looking to broaden their expertise.
