Financial Accountant
Job Title: Financial Accountant Salary: Competitive Location: Morley – Hybrid Working

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll take full ownership of the financial control environment for EVRI Premium indirect costs, managing both the P&L and Balance Sheet with accuracy, insight, and accountability. You’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality management accounts, improving financial processes, and supporting senior leaders with clear, data‑driven commentary. You’ll also mentor and support a Junior Analyst, helping to develop capability within the team while driving continuous improvement across reporting and controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to step into a role with real ownership, visibility, and impact in a fast‑paced, growing organisation.

What You’ll Do You will prepare weekly and periodic management accounts, maintain strong balance sheet control, and support the development of robust financial processes. You will work closely with your line manager and stakeholders across the business to ensure reporting remains accurate, timely, and aligned to the needs of senior leadership and the Board. Key Responsibilities • Prepare weekly and periodic management accounts for senior management and Board review • Provide insight and recommendations to support forecasting and decision‑making • Build a deep understanding of all account transactions and data flows • Ensure management accounts evolve to meet reporting needs across the organisation • Support the design and implementation of process improvements and flag anomalies • Work with stakeholders to prioritise and deliver the financial improvement agenda • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and streamline manual processes • Assist in writing commentary for weekly and periodic reporting • Maintain strong balance sheet control through full monthly reconciliation • Support year‑end audit queries and provide documentation for sample testing

What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified • Post‑qualified experience beneficial • Experience leading or developing team members • Ability to manage a heavy workload and strict deadlines • Strong stakeholder management capability • Industry experience in a similar‑sized organisation • Excellent attention to detail • Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills • Ability to prioritise effectively within a demanding workload • Strong team player able to work across finance and multi‑disciplinary teams • Experience using Open Accounts and eBIS (advantageous) • A drive to continuously improve processes and enhance performance • Proactive, detail‑focused, and committed to high‑quality output
