About the Role

This temporary Financial Accountant role in Surrey offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting and finance within the industrial/manufacturing industry. The position focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while contributing to key business objectives.

Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate financial data for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings as required.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
