Financial Accountant
Financial Accountant – Cardiff
Robert Half are partnering with a market-leading technology business to recruit a Financial Accountant for their Cardiff-based finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a successful and growing organisation operating across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with the Financial Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting the delivery of group reporting packs
- Assisting with year-end statutory accounts and external audits
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end controls
- Revenue analysis and reporting
- Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of asset registers
- VAT, CIS and other regulatory compliance reporting
- Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Preparation of customer billing schedules
- ESG and non-financial reporting requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial controls, processes, and reporting
- Providing meaningful financial insight to operational stakeholders across the business

About You
We’re looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
- Experience supporting statutory audits
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
