Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant (9-12 Month FTC)

Location: 📍 London (Hybrid Working - 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

  • Wider Finance initiatives, such as change and improvement programmes

Key Accountabilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across:
    • Management
    • Statutory
    • Regulatory
  • Period-end close activities:
    • Journals
    • Reconciliations
    • Supporting schedules
  • Analyse financial results and investigate movements and variances
  • Assist with:
    • Internal and external audit requests
    • Documentation preparation
  • Collaborate with:
    • Finance
    • Treasury
    • Investments
    • Risk
    • Operations
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation activities
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements

Required Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience gained within financial services (possibly non-FS regulated company)
  • Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, or year-end close processes
  • Exposure to IFRS/GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
  • Interest in AI-enabled finance processes and emerging technologies (advantageous)
