Financial Accountant – Wolverhampton - £60,000 to £70,000 + benefits including hybrid working
Alexander Daniels have been exclusively retained by a Global Engineering & Technology Business to help recruit an experienced Financial Accountant, this is a business where your work helps protect lives.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to a supportive and experienced Financial Controller, you will play a key role within the finance function, taking ownership of financial reporting, compliance, audit management, and technical accounting activities across a global group structure. This is a highly visible role offering exposure to senior stakeholders, international entities, and strategic finance projects, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to broaden their experience within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly management reporting and statutory reporting for multiple group entities.
- Lead external audit coordination and act as the primary day-to-day contact for auditors.
- Strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks across the business.
- Manage accounting for fixed assets and leases in line with Group policies.
- Oversee R&D expenditure reporting and coordinate annual R&D tax credit submissions.
- Support treasury activities including hedging and intercompany dividend calculations.
- Assist with tax compliance, transfer pricing and wider group reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and controls.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experienced within manufacturing, engineering or a product-led environment
- Coming from either a Top 20 practice background or a technically focused industry financial accounting role
- Confident managing audits and working with external advisors
- Strong in financial reporting, controls and technical accounting
- Commercially aware, analytical and solutions-focused
- Able to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across the business
