Finance Accountant – Retail & E-Commerce (Industry Transition Direction)
About the Role
We’re partnering with a global retail and e-commerce leader in search of a high-calibre Financial Accountant with an enthusiasm for the consumer world.
Reporting to an accomplished Financial Controller, this role offers an ideal opportunity to propel a qualified finance professional into the industry from practice—ideal for those seeking valuable financial accounting experience at the hub of a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
- P & L and balance sheet reviews
- Support senior management with statutory accounting and group consolidations
- Corporate reporting and tax work as a key contributor
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis support
- Work closely with the financial planning and commercial teams on ad hoc financial matters
- Lease accounting and financial reporting support for a sizeable property portfolio

Requirements
- Essential:
- Strong academic background
- Formal accountancy qualification (or overseas equivalent)
- Preferred: 0–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE, though exceptions considered)
- Experience with IFRS & UK GAAP (either from client-side work or industry practice)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
