Your new company
Our client is one of Liverpool's largest organisations. As the UK arm of a global business listed on the US stock exchange they employ a large team of accountants out of the UK head office based in Liverpool. The company has a number of different subsidiaries and as such this provides a complex and interesting background for this new vacancy of Financial Accountant.
Your new role
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Consolidation of monthly UK accounts including Income Statement and Balance Sheet (US GAAP)
- Preparation of UK statutory accounts under FRS102
- Budget & Forecast consolidation
- Corporation tax computation preparation
- VAT compliance
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Ad hoc reporting for other stakeholders including banking, pension trustees, Group Finance team
- Commercial support to UK Divisional Heads of Finance at month end
- Packaging waste and plastic packaging tax compliance

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills. Ideally you will have knowledge of US GAAP and also of consolidation. This would be an ideal role for an accountant seeking to make their first move from practice.
