Duties
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the European Finance Centre (EFC) to further their development and career. Reporting to the European Financial Controller, this role will perform the activities required to ensure timely and accurate period-end reporting, maintain the integrity of the balance sheet, processing of journal entries, as well as support on ad hoc projects and the mentoring of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
- Monthly financial accounting for the EFC EMEA entities
- Detailed variance analysis on the monthly financial reports
- Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations
- Working closely with the FP&A, in country finance, operations and HR teams to ensure transactions are accurately reported
- Year-end statutory and tax compliance
- Key contact for internal and external auditors
- Assist with maintaining SOX compliance
- Other ad-hoc duties

We Are Looking For
The successful applicant must be CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience. You must be well organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently, whilst displaying enthusiasm to assist other members of the GL team when required. Ambition and a proactive attitude are essential. Experience of SAP is preferred but not essential. European language skills preferred but not essential.
The role will provide a broad range of experience and is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, ambitious individual, looking to further develop their career in finance.
