Position Summary
As the Financial Accountant, you will ensure statutory accounting compliance, regulatory adherence, and financial governance for UK legal entities. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll:
- Maintain audit-ready accounts under IFRS and local GAAP
- Act as the secondary contact for local tax, treasury, and regulatory bodies

Key Responsibilities
Statutory Accounting
- Deliver timely and accurate statutory financial statements
- Prepare and liaise for annual audits, working with internal and external stakeholders
- Reconcile financials with local General Ledger accounting teams
- Assist with tax returns in collaboration with internal tax specialists
- Uphold internal controls, approvals, and compliance documentation
Month-End Close
- Review monthly financial reports and execute adjusting/consolidating entries
Additional Duties
- Assist in Group Finance projects to support wider business objectives
Role Success Criteria
- Precision in statutory filings
- Completeness in monthly reconciliations
- Audit-free outcomes with no critical findings
- Opportune delivery of tax and treasury submissions
- Positive stakeholder feedback from Group Finance and regulators

Key Traits

Your Experience & Expertise
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent local certification)
- 2–3 years’ experience in statutory accounting and financial controls
- Familiarity with:
- IFRS and local GAAP
- Statutory accounting processes
- Correlation with regulatory (tax/treasury) bodies
- Technical strength in Excel, Word
- Oracle/Power BI familiarisation is a platinum plus
Travel & Other Requirements
- Work location: Hybrid (office & remote) – modalities finalised with line manager
